Local Author & Grief Counsellor Hilary Scott launches new book 'One Day at A time.'
Over the past couple of months we have been assisting local author Hilary Scott to promote & launch her new book on grief, 'One Day at A Time.'
Hilary is a psychologist registered with both the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health & Care Professional Council (HCPC) in the UK. She has gained her experience in bereavement through various sources including training and working as a Cruse Bereavement Counsellor, giving insights into mourning issues for both adults and children within her role as a chartered psychologist and has had direct personal experience of sudden death bereavement as well as death following a long illness. Hilary brings a gentle listening ear as well as a wealth of experience to her work.
Our PR & Marketing team have been working closely with key media/press & journalists to raise awareness of the book. We have focused on driving traffic to Hilary's new website and Amazon to increase book sales & provide help to those who need it most. We have encouraged Hilary to participate in events across NI, including a recent visit to a Cruse Bereavement Conference whereby Hilary presented her book to an audience. In October, Hilary also attended the Mid & East Antrim Funeral Festival to show her devotion and support and has plans to attend more events over the upcoming months. Tremendous networking efforts have been made and we are proud of what Hilary has achieved so far.
Take 'One Day At A Time'
There are 365 short daily passages with a footnote summing up each day. It aims to provide a daily reflection on the thoughts and feelings which you may experience in the first year following a bereavement. It can be used as a helping hand, a sympathetic voice, to be read each day or when you feel in need of some support. The aim is to help you to process and understand what you might be experiencing as you adjust to the changes that bereavement has made in your life.
